Quill’s £6k+ commitment to charities in 2021 and chosen charity partner for 2022
- Quill selects the British Heart Foundation as its charity of the year for 2022 with a fundraising target of £5,000.
- Quill’s 111 employees across its Manchester and Liverpool offices as well as its home-workers located nationwide donated £6,000 to various charities in 2021, with majority of monies going to Mind.
Leading legal software and outsourced cashiering service provider Quill has pledged over £6,000 to local and national charities in 2021 following an active schedule of fundraising activities organised by its in-house voluntary charity committee, and has selected the British Heart Foundation as its charity of the year for 2022.
Quill’s 111 employees across its Manchester and Liverpool offices, and home-working staff located UK-wide have set their fundraising target with its main charity partner the British Heart Foundation at £5,000.
Corrine Blake, Quill’s Head of People and Culture, comments:
“At Quill, we strive always to be accountable to the environment and communities we serve. We are delighted to have gifted over £6,000 to the local community in 2021, with the lion’s share of monies given to the Mind charity – a worthy charity to support, especially given the difficult circumstances arising from Covid-19 and its impact on mental health.
“This year, our charity committee and employees are getting behind the British Heart Foundation. When you consider how heart disease, stroke, vascular dementia and diabetes are all linked, and are the world’s biggest killers, we couldn’t think of a better charity to support. We’re doing our bit to help the British Heart Foundation with its research to turn theories on pages into the reality of life-saving treatments.”
Michelle Bailey, Area Fundraising Manager for the BHF, says:
“We are so grateful that colleagues at Quill have chosen to raise vital funds for the BHF’s life saving research. For more than 60 years, the public’s generosity has funded BHF research that has turned ideas that once seemed like ‘science fiction’ into treatments and cures that save lives every day. But millions of people are still waiting for the next breakthrough.
“It is only with donations from organisations like Quill that we can keep our research going and discover the treatments and cures of the future.”
