Glyn Morris announced as Chair of Legal Software Suppliers Association (LSSA)

Glyn Morris, Principal product Manager with Advanced Legal, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Legal Software Suppliers Association (LSSA), the UK industry body for legal systems developers and vendors. Morris takes over from Roger Jackson of Cognito Software.

“The LSSA will continue to offer guidance on adopting technologies appropriate to the ever-changing legal services landscape. We will assist the market to move forward; disseminating knowledge and highlighting opportunities,” says Glyn Morris, Chairman of the LSSA. I would like to thank Roger Jackson and his executive team for his inspirational work at the helm of the LSSA. I look forward to developing the relationships built with HM Land Registry, the Legal Aid Agency, the Law Society, and other organisations.”

Matt Lancaster of Osprey Legal Cloud takes up the role as Vice Chair. Phil Snee of Linetime Ltd, continues as Treasurer and Patrick Carmody of Perfect Software Ltd takes over as Chair of the Membership and Disciplinary committees.

The LSSA is responsible for setting and maintaining professional standards within the legal software industry, and also manages areas of mutual interest between lawyers and software providers.  The LSSA also has links with a number of legislative bodies – including the Land Registry, HMRC, The Law Society, the Court Service and the LAA – and is committed to developing clear channels of communication so that law firms can gain the maximum benefit from their selected software solutions.
